Has Katie really deconstructed romanticism? Does romanticism still have relevance for you?

It seems to me that Katie is analysing Romanticism in a contemperary way in her artworks.

Yes, Romanticism has a meaning for me, as a part of art history which gives way for new interpretations like we can experience in Katies works or art.

Does deconstructing romanticism destroy the artists original intentions or re frame it what would Casper David Friedrich have mad of Katie's deconstruction of the wreck of the hope?

I totally missed the talk, so I have no idea. Can I get you to post details of upcoming stuff here? Also, feel free to flog your talks at NewcastleGraft, which is an email group for artists in Newcastle (which - disclosure! - I help run).
